It seems the TD is a pretty decent module that actually includes a couple of features not available on the TD like BT audio and apparently more ins and out via USB?
Has anyone ponder this setup? Thanks fro any opinions! Tags: None. I have the TD27 and used to have the TD I mainly use it for triggering SD3. In that regard in my opinion they are identical.Instrument \u0026 Sample Layering - How To Make Roland Drums Sound Better - TD-17 TD-27 TD-50
As far as the sound goes, they sound very similar except that the TD27 has more snares, toms, rides and hats.
Performance of the digital snare and ride is also identical. I really don't think the TD50 is worth the money over the TD27 if you don't need the extra inputs and outputs.
I don't know what hats you have, but if you have the VH's, keep them, they're much better than the VH's that comes with the VAD kit. I'm not impressed with them at all. Comment Post Cancel. Thanks Haggis-man! Peter Warren. I like the snares alot more in the TD Alan VEX. So, after a couple of days with the 27, I'm able to form an opinion The 27 is not better than the Alan website youtube facebook group newsletter message recommendations. Chris K.The first significant drop from the electronic instrument giant in drums and percussion is the TDKV.
Both utilize the TD drum module. As is the case with most higher-end e kits, the TDKV does not include a snare stand, kick pedal, or hi-hat stand. Now, before I begin, let me set the record straight. These are my opinions and speculations on the new kit. The kit is a five-piece electronic drum set with mesh heads, including four cymbals and the drum module. Roland targets a higher-end consumer, and the price is generally justified. Arguably the best inclusion on the TDKV is the snare pad. Of course, no electronic drum will ever be able to emulate their acoustic counterparts to an exact degree, but Roland gets as close as possible.
The mesh head itself is three-ply, providing natural rebound and something that feels similar to a real drum. A somewhat disappointing inclusion on the TDKV is the kick tower. The feel of the KD is far better than a lot of rubber kick towers. The softer material responds much better. The feedback of the playing surface allows for a more dynamic and realistic experience.
The plastic shell reminds me more of the snare drum and is a nice improvement visually. The tom pads are dual-zone, meaning you can assign sounds to both the playing surface and the rim.
The CYDR brings more realism to the e-cymbal world. In addition to the snare, the ride cymbal pad is the next most significant improvement to the mid-level V-Drums series kits. I love the variation in sizes. The hi-hat controller included is the VH I kind of wish there was a bottom pad, but the VH performs fine.
Again, the hi-hat pad is only dual-zone, allowing for striking the bow and edge. As the name implies, the TDKV comes with a new drum module.
The TD module is a massive improvement on the TD module, even going as far as including dedicated controls for tuning and muffling. The module emulates different rooms and stages using reverb, but that explanation only scratches the surface of how it works.Subscribe to the Roland Newsletter to get the latest articles, videos, and news about your favorite Roland products.
